Cuba U-17 soccer team to face Costa Rica in HavanaHAVANA, Cuba, Oct 28 (acn) With all their athletes available, the U-17 women's soccer teams of Cuba and Costa Rica will play today the first of two friendly matches at Pedro Marrero stadium in this city.

This pair of matchups will benefit both sides, which are training to take part in their respective qualifying tournaments toward the CONCACAF final, to be held in Granada in March 2016 and will award three tickets to the World Cup in Jordan.
The Cuban squad, coached by Constantino Valdés, is involved in a tournament based in Puerto Rico, from November13 to 23, while the Central American s, coached by Amelia Valverde, will be in the event of Honduras, from 11 to 16 of the same month.
There is no doubt that Costa Ricans are the favorites, as they are ranked among the four best in CONCACAF, while Cuba is taking its first steps in the women's U-17 category.
Valdes could line up today to Alianne Matamoros as goalkeeper, defenses Wendy Corcho, Maria Karla Rodriguez Yamisleidy Nunez and Idais Reyes, midfielders would be Anallivi Martinez, Leyda Chirino, Sairy Cid and Yilian Sarria, while Yenifer Ramos and Naomi Aguilar would play as forwards.
