Cuban Larduet to 4 finals in World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 27 (acn) Cuban Manrique Larduet starred a surprising performance in the 46th World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, to be included in three of the apparatus finals and the all-around event.
Larduet, Toronto 2015 Pan American monarch in men’s vault, ranked seventh in the all-around qualifying event with rating of 88,656 units, list commanded by Japanese Kohei Uchimura ( 90,564), reflected the event's website.
In addition, Manrique will be included among the eight contenders in the parallel bars finals, as he finished fifth in the qualifying event with 15,666 points among more than 180 competitors.
Also, the Caribbean will compete in the final events of floor, where he obtained qualification of 15,166 units, and high bars (15,058), events in which he ranked seventh.
His poorest performance happened in vault, his main apparatus, where he was relegated to seat 144, with anemic sum of 13,833, while in the still rings he finished sixteenth (14.933) and ranked 49th in the pommel horse (14.000).
His teammate Randy Leru finished 58th (82,865), due to his discrete performance on the floor (12.366), pommel horse (13.166), still rings (13.44), despite being better in the vault ( 14,900), parallel bars ( 14,300) and high bar (14,523), in the latter he ended up 25th and earned a ticket among those qualified to the pre-Olympic event in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
