HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 2 (acn) The Cuban Baseball Federation appointed Victor Mesa head coach of the team that will attend the Premier 12 tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
A statement by the to baseball organization on the island reads that the appointment of the former star outfielder and coach of the Matanzas team in the National Series is due to his results and experience in coaching other squads in several international competitions.
The fifth seat in the in the 2013 World Baseball Classic and the title in the baseball tournament at Veracruz 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, in Mexico, are the most important achievements of Victor Mesa in his career as head coach of the Cuban national team.
The organizers of the Premier 12 world championship demand the handing over of the payroll with the names of the 28 players before October 10, and changes can only be made due to injuries or other mishaps, changes that can be certified up to the technical meeting of the event.
