Cuba Loses vs. Puerto Rico in Volleyball Tournament

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 2 (acn) Cuba's women's team lost to Puerto Rico in the quarterfinal stage of the NORCECA women's volleyball continental championship hosted by the Bicentenario Auditorium in Morelia, Mexico.

According to the website of the event, the Puerto Ricans won 3-1 (25-20, 25-14, 25-27 and 25-18), in an hour and 45 minutes.
The performance of Karina Ocasio, top scorer of the match with 21 points, was very important for Puerto Rico's triumph, supported by Aurea Cruz (15) and Stephanie Enright (12), while Sulian Matienzo (18), Regla Gracia (11) and Heidy Rodriguez ( 11) excelled for Cuba.
The disciples of Roberto Garcia faced Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday, looking for one of the positions from fifth to eighth, and Puerto Ricans will clash with United States in the semifinals.
