Cuban Yordanka Ariosa Wins Prize in San Sebastian

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 29 (acn) Young talented Cuban actress Yordanka Ariosa won the Silver Shell for Best Actress at the 63rd International Film Festival of San Sebastian, Spain, for her performance in leading role of Magda in the film El Rey de La Habana (The King of Havana), by Agusti Villaronga.

This is the first time a Cuban interpreter wins such prize, as reported this weekend by Cuban and foreign media outlets.
Upon receiving the acknowledgement, Yordanka thanked the jury for the honor of being part of the great family of actresses who have won this award.
She also congratulated the entire team participating in the film and especially Spanish director Villaronga for the opportunity given to her, his confidence on her and for guiding her through the process, for which she expressed her affection for life as a person and as an artist.
