HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 16 (acn) Cuba men's team lost to Poland in match of Group H of the second round of the Under-21 Volleyball World Championship, which takes place in several cities in Mexico.
Fighting for one of the positions from ninth to sixteenth, Cubans lost 2-3 (20-25, 32-30, 25-16, 20-25 and 12-15) after more than two hours of play, according to the website of the contest.
Osmany Uriarte, who scored 26 points and Abraham Alfonso (11) highlighted for the Caribbean squad.
With this result, the disciples of Rodolfo Sanchez achieved their fourth defeat, as in the first round they finished last in poole A, with three losses against Brazil, China and Iran.
According to the schedule, Cuba's next opponents will be France and Egypt, on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
