Cuba beats South Korea in World Volleyball CupHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 7 (acn) The Cuban women's squad defeated South Korea, in the World Volleyball Cup that ended in several Japanese cities with the participation of 12 teams looking for two tickets to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.

Thus, Cuba totaled 11 points, four wins and seven defeats, and finished ninth in the standings, led by China (30-10-1) and Serbia (26-10-1), sides that got the seats for the Olympics.

According to the website of the contest, the young disciples of Coach Roberto Garcia beat South Korea 3-2 (25-22, 18-25, 16-25, 30-28 and 15-13) in match played in the city of Komaki.

The leading scorer of the match was the Asian Yeong -Koung Kim with 37 points, supported by Hee- Jin Kim (19), while Heidy Rodriguez ( 22) and Regla Gracia ( 17) highlighted for the Caribbean island.
