Cuba beats Japan in baseball in HollandHAVANA, Cuba, Jul 22 (acn) The Cuban baseball team archived on Monday its second win in the traditional baseball tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands, by beating 13-5 Japan.

With the match tied at four runs in the eleventh inning, Cuba scored nine times to ensure the win in the game, won by reliever Jose Angel Garcia, who allowed two hits and one unearned run in three innings.

Catcher Osvaldo Vazquez highlighted for the Cuban cause by hitting 3 for 5 with two home runs and five RBIs, supported by outfielder and first baseman Yasiel Santoya, 3 for 6 with two doubles and two RBIs

Cuba totalled 20 hits, with highlights also for the outfielder Reutilio Hurtado, third baseman Yurisbel Gracial and shortstop Lourdes Yunielski Gourriel, authors per capita of three hits, according to the official site of the contest.

After debuting on Sunday with a 4-2 win against Chinese Taipei, the Cuban baseball team has perfect record of two wins and no losses in the traditional tournament in Rotterdam, where they will face today the host squad.
