HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 19 (acn) The Cuban delegation closed the eighth day of competitions at the 17th Pan-American Games in Toronto on position number four on the medal table, with 21 gold medals, 18 silver and 23 bronze.
For the first time since the beginning of the competition, the U.S. delegation (50-41-44) is top on the list, pushing host Canada (48-41-43) to second place, while Brazil (28- 23-35) is third.
Until Saturday, the first ten positions on the medal table were as follows:
