Cuba and Bulgaria volleyball teams to play tough matches in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 6 (acn) The coaches of Cuba and Bulgaria said that the matches of this weekend will be tough and they will try to win, during the continuation of the World Volleyball League, based in the Sports City Coliseum, in Havana.

Plamen Konstantinov, the Bulgarian Coach, said that despite the difficulties presented by the Caribbean in the four games of the tournament in Calgary and Mendoza, as well as in three of the NORCECA Champions Cup in Detroit, United States, the team is very competitive.

The European players are young, but they have very good physical preparation and perspectives, so they will have to work hard to achieve the win, with a crowd that will be against them.

In this regard, Rodolfo Sanchez, the Cuban Coach, noted he expects to maximize his host condition, although sometimes it affects mainly to beginners, and he has several of these players in his squad.

Sanchez added that his starting players will be the outside hitter and captain Rolando Cepeda, middle blockers Livan Osoria and Dariel Albo, inside hitters Javier Ernesto Jimenez and Osmany Uriarte and setter Ricardo Calvo, with Yonder García as libero.

I hope everything to go well after the win in five sets against Argentina, at home we always play well and overcome any difficulty no matter its size, Cepeda told ACN.

After two weekends, Canada leads the standings in group C, belonging to the second level of the league, with 10 points, followed by Argentina (4), Bulgaria (2) and Cuba (2).
