HAVANA, Cuba, May 25 (acn) Georgian Baadur Jobava defeated Cuban Leinier Dominguez in the 10th round of the FIDE Grand Prix in Khanty-Mansiysk, while Russian Dmitry Jakovenko beat his compatriot Sergey Karjakin.
Dominguez (2734 Elo points) lost to Jobava (2699) and now appears tied in seats 4th and 5th with Israeli Boris Gelfand with 5.5 units.
Meanwhile, Jakovenko replaced Dominguez as co-leader and now shares the top of the standings with Italian Fabiano Caruana and American Hikaru Nakamura, all with 6 points.
According to the event organizers the remaining four games were drawn.
The final round of the contest will be tomorrow with the matches Karjakin-Gelfand, Nakamura-Jakovenko, Dutch Anish Giri-Caruana, Dominguez-Russian Alexander Grishuk, the also Russian Peter Svidler-Jobava and the local Evgeny Tomaschevsky- French Maxime Vachier Lagrave
