Canada bests Cuba twice in World Volleyball LeagueHAVANA, Cuba, May 19 (acn) The Cuban men's volleyball team suffered its second loss to its counterpart and host, Canada, in the first weekend of group C of the second level of the 26th World Volleyball League, headquartered at Stampede Corral Room, in Calgary City.

Also after losing in three sets (20-25, 19-25 and 24-26) on Saturday, Cubans could not avoid the sweep on the road, now 24-26, 19-25 and 21-25, in one hour and 25 minutes, said the website of the contest.

Then, in Havana Sports City Coliseum, they will receive Argentina (June 12-14), Canada (June 19-21) and Bulgaria (June 26-28).

As planned, after this first weekend in Canada, the Caribbean team will compete from May 21 to 23 in Detroit, United States, home of the North, Central American and Caribbean (NORCECA) Champions Cup.
That tournament is qualifying for the World Cup in Japan , September from 8 to 23, event which will grant the first tickets for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
