Cuban handball team to train in in France

 HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 2 (ACN) Come November, the Cuban men's handball team will be training in France with a view to the World Championship, to be held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway from January 14 to February 2, 2025.

National commissioner Franklin Guevara remarked that the team will also have some preparation abroad on the days leading up to the Championship as it waits for the Cuban players currently hired by European clubs to join the roster.

According to the draw that took place in May in Zagreb, Croatia, Team Cuba will be in Group G along with Slovenia, Iceland and Cape Verde.

After missing out on the last six championships, Cuban handball got its ticket by winning the North American and Caribbean Tournament organized this year in Mexico.
