HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 12 (ACN) A draw at the first tables kept unchanged the top of the National Absolute Chess Championship, which held its sixth date in the eastern province of Holguin.
Luis Ernesto Quesada from the central province of Ciego de Avila reached 4.5 points to keep a half-drawn distance over the six players, including Dylan Berdayes and Omar Almeida and Carlos Daniel Albornoz.
Dylan was precisely Luis Ernesto's opponent in a duel resolved in 19 moves of an English Opening.
The match between Almeida and Albornoz had a similar approach, although the draw was signed in 21 moves.
Cristian Vitier, Kemel Gallo and Michel Alejandro Diaz also have four points.
One of the outstanding results of Saturday was the victory of Kemel over Ermes Espinosa, a member of the current national preselection and one of the aspirants to the title now.
