Cuban Cyclist Iraida Garcia Finished Twelfth in San Luis TourHAVANA, Cuba, Jan 16 (acn) The Cuban cyclist Iraida Garcia finished twelfth in the fifth and penultimate stage of the 2nd Tour of San Luis, in Argentina, and now appears 18th in the general standings.

Garcia, who did not have a good time trial event on the previous day, arrived at the finish line one minute and 25 seconds after the American Katharine Hall, of the UnitedHealthcare team, winner of the 62.6 kilometers stretch with time of 1: 47.19 hours.
According to the official website of the event, Hall was escorted by Brazilians Janildes Fernandes (National team) and Uenia Fernandes (ALE Cipollini), in that order.
With this result, Janildes went on to command the standings, with a total cumulative of 7: 57.06 hours, consecutively escorted by Lauren Stephens ( +01 seconds / Tibco-BLS), from United States, and the also Brazilian Ana Polegatch (+16).
The other Cuban representatives participating in the event are Yeima Torres, who appears 46th, at 5:33 minutes behind the leader, Mailín Sánchez (54 / + 7: 23), Yoanka González (69 / 14: 09) and Claudia Baró (74 / 19: 40).
Today ends this Argentine tour with its sixth and final stage comprising 80.4 km of race.
