HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Cuba will seek today to finish pool play with a win over Costa Rica in group B of the 1st women’s NORCECA U-17 Continental Championship, under way in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
After losing 2-3 to Canada and 0-3 to the Dominican Republic, Team Cuba will strive to notch up its first victory and finish third in the group, led by the Canadians and the Dominicans, who are still undefeated.
The winners of each group will be in the semifinals, which start on the 25th.
The competition grants three places for the 2024 U-17 World Championship.
