HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 20 (ACN) Cuban Leydis Posada fell today in the quarterfinals of the women's individual recurve in the archery competition of the 7th Parapan American Games Santiago de Chile 2023.
Posada could not advance to the semifinals after losing 2-6 to Mexico's Karen Rocha, a result that prevented her from competing for medals in that event.
Also on Monday, for Cuba, Alex Capo lost 0-6 to Chile's Cristian Aguirre in the round of 16 of the men's recurve, according to the competition's official website.
On Sunday, in the qualifying round to define the places in the direct matches, the Cuban archer scored 416 points, placing her seventh.
In the case of Capo, he was tenth among 11 registered in the preliminary phase, with a total of 391 units.
