Cuban men's handball team to attend 24th IHF Men's Junior U21 World Championship

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 19 (ACN) Cuba will take part from Tuesday at the 24th IHF Men's Junior U21 World Championship, which will be held in Greece, where the team arrived, reported the web portal cubaminrex.

According to the program of the event, the Cuban youth will face in their first game, in the preliminary round of group H, the team of Egypt, on the 20th, their second appearance will be a day later against the local Greek team, and their third and final game will take place on the 23rd against Saudi Arabia.

If they win this preliminary round, they will move on to the second stage, which will take place between June 24 and 29 at the Rentis ¨Melina Merkouri Sports Hall in Athens.

The Cuban ambassador to Greece, Aramis Fuente Hernandez, together with the person in charge of Consular Affairs, Roilan Wilson, welcomed them at the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport of this capital. Also present were executives of the Hellenic Federation of that sport and a representation of Cubans living in Greece.
