Cuban cyclist Sierra to compete at the Amstel Gold Super Classic

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 14 (ACN) The best road racer in America, Cuban Arlenis Sierra, will continue on Sunday in the great classics of the world, competing in the Amstel Gold Race in the Netherlands, with her famous club, the Movistar Team.

According to the official list of the event, 15 world teams and nine guests, all based in European powers, the United States and Australia, will compete.

In addition to the Cuban rider, Movistar Team will be represented by the Dutch Olympic and world title holder Annemiek van Vleuten and the also local Floortje Mackaij, the German Liane Lippert, the Colombian Paula Patiño and the Serbian Jelena Erić, announced the blue team.

The race will be 155.8 kilometers (km), with steep elevations and a length that exceeds the 2022 edition by more than 30 km, when Sierra suffered a crash and finished 40th, Lippert finished third (with Team DSM) and Van Vleuten came in fourth.
