HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 11 (ACN) Cuba will compete in three big international sports events this year, the first of which will be the 5th Alba Games on April 21 to 29, bound to be a testing ground for the new Cuban Olympic movement.
As reported by Ariel Saínz, vice-president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Cuba is preparing for this and other multi-sport events throughout the year, including the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador (June 23 to July 8) and the Pan Am Games in Santiago de Chile (October 20 to November 5).
The Cuban delegation to the Alba Games, which will host 11 regional countries and Russian guests, has 409 members, namely 265 athletes, 167 coaches and 19 referees.
