Cyclist Arlenis Sierra copes with Belgian cobblestones and high points

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 15 (ACN) Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra, America's best road racer in the last 12 years, will lead Team Movistar Team today in the first category professional race Nokere Koerse, disputed by 20 teams in Belgium.

The organizers announced almost all the women's teams of the World Tour, 11 world teams of the International Cycling Union, and nine continental teams, all of which will ride a 129.1-km-long circuit that includes 15 km of cobblestones and nine climbs.

Sierra, who will be escorted by Sheyla Gutiérrez, Alicia González, Gloria Rodríguez and Sara Martín (Spain) and Aude Bianic (France), first saw action in the Belgian classics this season in the Omloop het Nieuwsblad race.
