Arlenis Sierra will join dream formation in Belgium

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 23 (ACN) The great road cyclist of the Americas, Cuba’s Arlenis Sierra, will compete Saturday in Belgium as part of a Spanish Team Movistar sextet made of four of the best riders in the world and two other cycling stars.

Sierra will be alongside the Dutch Annemiek van Vleuten and Floortje Mackaij, the German Liane Lippert, the “Danish rocket” Emma Norsgaard, and the experienced French champion Aude Bianic to try to achieve again the victory of the world's number one, van Vleuten, in the 132.2-km-long Omloop het Nieuwsblad, a Women's World Tour (WWT) leader.

For the Cuban, who boasts 45 victories in four continents and shone in her debut with Movistar in 2022, this will be the fifth race day in 2023.
