Cuban sailors earn place and possible wild card for 2023 Pan Am Games

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 21 (ACN) Cuban sailors Lisbetzy Rojo Salazar (ILCA 6) and Dennier Infante Pupo (ILCA 7) got the ticket and a possible wild card for the 2023 Pan Am Games of Santiago de Chile in the qualifiers held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Lisbetzy earned one of the four slots—one per country—contested in the this, her second international competition. Dennier, however, failed to qualify and will have to wait for an invitation to compete in Chile or else earn that right in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador.
After competing along with 73 athletes, Lisbetzy finished 62nd with 173 points, whereas Dennier was 26th with 196 points in his specialty, in which 58 sailors participated.
