HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 16 (ACN) Cuba will play today a crucial match against Guadeloupe in the context of in the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, held in Guatemala City.
After losing two games in a row, first to Jamaica (2-4) and then to the favorite Costa Rica (0-4), Team Cuba is in fourth and last place with a dismal record of two goals scored and eight allowed (-6) and therefore obliged to beat Guadeloupe by a six-goal difference, something very unlikely based on their two previous matches.
This CONCACAF competition gathers 16 teams divided into four groups. The top three in each group will advance to the knockout stage, which includes the already qualified teams of Bermuda, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico.
