HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 15 (ACN) Cuban triple jumpers Liadagmis Povea and Leyanis Perez, as well as long jumper Maykel Massó, will compete today in the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver Meeting in Lievin, France.
Massó, third in Tokyo 2020 and U20 world champion in 2016, will have his second presentation in the current season—he debuted a week ago in the event held in Torun, Poland, where he finished third with a 7.84m jump—and will try to get closer to his personal indoor record, 8.08 m, achieved in Germany two years ago.
On their end, Povea—fifth in Tokyo 2020 and third in the Pan Am Games of Lima 2019—and Pérez—winner of the 1st Junior Games in Cali, Colombia, in 2021, and of the Ibero-American tournament last May in Alicante, Spain—will try once again to finish in the top two positions in triple jump.
