Cuban rowers alredy training with their eyes on Chile

 HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 18 (ACN) Cuba has designed a short list of 25 rowers who are already training in the province of Villa Clara’s Hanabanilla reservoir with a view to the March qualifiers for the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile.

Ángel Luis García, president and commissioner of this sport in Cuba, said that the current goal is to improve the synchronization of the rowers in order to choose the best crews for the continental event.

The Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador from June 23 to July 8 and the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile from October 20 to November 5 will be Cuba’s main competitions this year, followed by the Olympic Games in Paris, to be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Other possible tournaments for Cuba in 2023 are the World Cups in Zagreb, Croatia (May 5 to 7), Varese, Italy (June 16 to 18) and Lucerne, Switzerland (July 7 to 9), as well as the U23 and senior world championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria (July 19 to 23) and Belgrade, Serbia (September 3 to 10), respectively.
