Slovakian champion club praises Cuban waterpolo player’s performance

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 4 (ACN) Team Olympia Košice, newly crowned five-time champion of the Slovak Water Polo League, highlighted the outstanding performance of the Cuban Mayelín Bernal Villa in her second season with the team she joined in February 2021.
 
 Bernal, however, was not fully satisfied with her results.
 
 "I don't feel that I did my best. I tried, but it simply didn't work the way I wanted, although I’m aware that the season is just beginning," she said after the hard-fought final game held last weekend against the Slavia Bratislava. "It's not the first title during my time with this club, and I don't think it will be the last."
 
On May 8, the Olympia Košice finished second in the Danube League, a tournament of champion European teams.
