Cuban sailors finish third in Santa Marta 2022

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Cubans sailors Jaime Ruano (Sunfish) and Dennier Infante (Laser ILCA7) won bronze medals in the sailing tournament of the 1st Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games of Santa Marta 2022.

Jaimet accumulated 14 points in the seven races to win the third place—behind the Venezuelan Sabrina Hernandez and the Colombian Ana Sofia Bermudez—whereas Infante finished with a 23-point tie with Mathieu Dale (Virgin Islands) in a competition won by El Salvador's Enrique José Arathoon (9 points) and Puerto Rico's Pedro Luis Fernández (12).

In other results, the Cubans Manuel Enrique Lugo (Sunfish), Lisbeth Rojo (ILCA6 Laser), Adriano Castro (Kite Surf) and Luis Giraldo González (IQFOIL Board) failed to make it to the podium.
