Cuban men's handball team suffers first loss at Caribbean Cup

 HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 6 (ACN) The Cuban men's handball team suffered its first setback in the Caribbean Cup of that discipline, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where they lost 27-28 to the local team.

In the Parque del Este arena, both teams went out to defend their undefeated condition in a competition extending until the next 8th, which will be a qualifier for the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023.

Supported by their fans, the hosts were more accurate in the decisive moments of the second half, especially with more effective shots on goal.

With this result, the Dominicans have a record of two wins and no losses, while Cuba has a 1-1 record.
