Cuba sets its sights on Final Six semifinals

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 8 (ACN) The Cuban women's team will play today against Puerto Rico and try to advance to the semifinals of the 2nd Final Six Volleyball Tournament held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

With one win and three losses, Team Cuba is fourth in the standings, and it is precisely the first four teams that will move up, hence the importance of today’s game opposite the Puerto Ricans, who are in third place (/3-1). The home team, undefeated so far, is leading the competition, followed by the Americans (3-1).

The Cubans, who were defeated 0-3 by the United States on Wednesday, lost their first game to the Dominican Republic (0-3), then beat the Canadians 3-0 on Monday and lost again the following day, this time to Mexico (2-3).
