Cuba vs. Chile in the beginning of the Volleyball Challenger Cup

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 27 (ACN) The Cuban men's team will be opposite Chile in the first day of the 2022 Volleyball Challenger Cup, held in Seoul, South Korea. The tournament will grant one ticket to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League in 2023.

Team Cuba arrived in the venue on Sunday after a long trip that included stopovers in Caracas, Venezuela, and Istanbul, Türkiye. They had a practice game with—and lost 0-3 to—the hosts, playing without two of its main figures, namely Roberlandy Simón and Liván Osoria, who unfortunately tested positive to COVID-19.

If the Cubans win against Chile, they will play against the winner of the game between Tunisians and Czechs, scheduled for Friday.
