Cuba for its fifth win and undefeated at 2022 NORCECA Cup Final Six

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) Cuba will seek today its fifth success and to lead undefeated the preliminary phase of the men's volleyball Pan American Final Six Cup, to conclude this Sunday at the Amado Nervo Auditorium in the Mexican city of Tepic, in Nayarit.

The Cubans will face host Mexico on Friday, after consecutive victories over the Dominican Republic, the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, in that order.

Cuba tops the tournament with four wins without a setback, followed by Canada (3-1), Puerto Rico (2-2), the United States (2-2), Mexico (1-3) and the Dominican Republic (0-4).

According to the schedule, the top four teams advance to Saturday's semifinals, with the medal discussion on Sunday.

The teams finishing in fifth and sixth place will face each other to define the last places before the semifinals, which will be played between first and fourth and second and third.

The competition awards points towards the qualification for the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador and the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, both in 2023.
