Havana, July 13 (ACN) The Cuban women basketball team won 76-44 against Bahamas at the Caribbean Basket Championship underway till July 18 at Havana Ciudad Deportiva sports compound.
During the early stage of the match, the Cubans scored 20 to 8 and kept control of the game 38 to 22 backed by their strong defense.
After the break, the Bahamian team improved their performance with a 16-14 win in the third period, but the game turned out to favor the Cubans in the last partial set.
The meet allowed the locals to break the ice as they look forward to their tickets for the Centrobasket meet, which will also open the doors to the Central American and Caribbean Games, next year in El Salvador.
