Cuba vs. Dominican Republic in Caribbean Little League today

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 7 (ACN) Cuba’s U12 team Santa Clara will seek another victory today against the host Dominican Republic (A) in the Caribbean Little League Baseball tournament held in Punta Cana.

After winning their first two games by defeating Curaçao B (2-1) and the Dominicans (4-2), the Cubans are in for a very important one, since a victory today will assure them the first place in Pool B and another game against Curaçao in Friday's semifinals. Should they win, they will strive to win the tournament on Saturday and get the ticket to the World Series in Williamsport, U.S.A. on August 17 to 28, which is Team Santa Clara’s ultimate goal, according to head coach José Yadíán Ganuza.
