HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 30 (ACN) Cuban swimmers will try to qualify today for nine finals of the 1st Caribbean Games in Guadeloupe.
Today’s program features direct finals in 1,500m freestyle for men, mixed 4x100 relay in combined styles, and 200m combined individual and 200m backstroke for men and women.
Cuba will compete with Andrea Becali, Rodolfo Falcón and Julio Calero, who participated last week in the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
According to reports, the pool in Guadeloupe has only six lanes and its depth is less than the official one, which means that the swimmers will have to readjust their dive and initial strokes.
