HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 31 (ACN) Cuban national team will face India today, in one of the matches for 9-16 places in the U19 boys' volleyball World Championship, which will conclude tomorrow in Tehran, Iran.
The Cubans will play against the Indians, in a program that also includes the matches Thailand-Czech Republic, Belgium-Colombia and Nigeria-Egypt, with the same purpose.
Tuesday challenges for the 17th to 20th places will also take place, with the Cameroon-Dominican Republic and Guatemala-Belarus pairings, although the Cameroonians and Belarusians secured 3-0 victories, since the Dominicans and Guatemalans had to withdraw from the tournament due to several cases of COVID-19 in their players.
The highlight of the day will be the quarterfinal matches with Brazil-Russia, Italy-Bulgaria, Germany-Poland and Argentina-Iran.
