Cuban wrestlers earn 10 tickets to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

 
HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 16 (acn) Cuba got 10 tickets to the wrestling event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the Pan Am Qualifying Tournament that run from March 13-15 in Ottawa, Canada.

In the Greco-Roman modality, they won one silver and three gold medals, according to the official website of the contest.
Luis Orta, in the 60 kilograms division, Yosvanys Peña (77) and Gabriel Rosillo (97) earned the titles, while Daniel Gregorich (87) ranked second.
With that performance, Cuba will present a complete team in Tokyo Olympics, because it had already won berths in the 67 and 130 kg, thanks to the crowns of Ismael Borrero and Oscar Pino, in that order, at the World Cup organized by Kazakhstan in 2019.
It is valid clarifying that although Pino got the qualification; the Cuban representative in Tokyo will be Mijain Lopez, who will go in search of his fourth Olympic title.
Meanwhile, in the women´s event, Yusneilys Guzman (50), Lianna Montero (53) and Yudari Sanchez (68), the first two as division winners, also qualified to Tokyo 2020.
Only Milaymis Marin (76), monarch at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018, who achieved a win and conceded two losses, couldn´t reach her ticket.
In the case of men´s freestyle contest, the Cubans who will be in the coming Olympics are Alejandro Valdes (65), Geandry Garzon (74) and Reineris Salas (97), as they all became champions of their divisions in Canada.
For their part, Reineri Andreu (57) and Yurieski Torreblanca (86) were bronze medalists, but they did not achieve the desired ticket, just like Angel Pacheco (125), who lost in his debut.
