Cuba had a pleasant debut in U20 Women´s UNCAF FIFA Forward Tournament 2019

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 14 (acn) Cuba beat 5-0 Belize in their debut in the U20 Women´s UNCAF FIFA Forward Tournament 2019 which runs in Guatemala.

Forward Katerine Rodriguez highlighted with a hat-trick while Cuba´s other goals were scored by Eunice Nunez and Maristania Mengana, Oliet Rodriguez, Cuban national soccer commissioner, told JIT sports publication.
Cuba will have a tougher contender today when facing the local squad.
Guatemalans and Cubans already advanced to the coming round but this match will decide the positions of Group A, as the locals previously defeated Belize 9-1.
Group B includes Costa Rica, El Salvador and the DR while Panama, Nicaragua and Honduras make up Pool C.
This is an invitational contest to develop squads from countries with less economic possibilities and is used as warm-up for the CONCACAF WC Qualifiers scheduled for February 2020.
Cuba is among the 16 teams qualified to that round in which it will play in Pool C against USA, Honduras and the Dominican Republic, as part of the final stage in search of the three tickets in the region to the 2020 U20 Women´s World Cup to be organized by Nigeria.
