Havana, Sep 26 (ACN) The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Cuba has become an essential tool to strengthen socio-economic development, despite the restrictions of the blockade imposed by the United States, said Ruben Ramos, vice president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce.
Ramos addressed the opening of the 4th Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Information Technologies, FELTI 2019, based at the Hotel Melia Habana and attended by 230 delegates, representatives of 47 national and eight foreign companies.
He stressed that the Cuban State intends advancing in the applications industry, computer services and technological infrastructure, thus FELTI 2019 is vital for diversification and the discovery of new markets, Ramos added.
The companies present at the event will join together and ensure projects that make productive chains possible, in which one entity receives one service and at the same time provides another, Grisel Reyes Leon, president of the Business Group of Informatics and Telecommunications (GEIC), told ACN.
FELTI 2019, hosted by the Business Group of Informatics and Communications(GEIC), offers the novelty that the best presentations will be endorsed to form part of a stand during the 18th International Convention and Fair Informatica 2020.
This 4th edition of the forum constitutes a space for exchange among professionals interested in researching, fostering, analyzing and learning about the progress of ICT in Cuba and the world.
