Cuban Public Health Deputy Minister on a Working Visit of Angola

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 16 (acn) Cuban Public Health Deputy Minister Marcia Cobas began on Friday a three-day working visit to Angola, where she will assess the state of the implementation of the General Agreement on Cooperation between the two countries in different sectors, Prensa Latina reported.

The Cuban official will hold meetings with Cuban workers in the African nation, with Angolan Higher Education Minister Adão do Nascimento, and with the State Secretary of Health, Euleterio Hixilikwa.
A press release by Angola's Ministry of Health (Minsa) emphasizes that the bonds of solidarity between the two nations in the field of health were created over four decades ago and that in this moment "they are in a new stage with the presence in our country of Cuban specialists working in various places, from urban centers to isolated areas."
