HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 23 (acn) Cuba is participating in the 4 th Plenary Session on Intergovernmental Biological Ecosystems Services underway in Malaysia to conclude next Sunday.
According to a note from the Cuban Foreign Ministry experts will evaluate the advances of the work program, agree on evaluation reports on biological diversity models and ecosystem services.
Other issues will be discussed related to the creation of capacities in areas tied to conservation and the sustainable use of biological diversity.
The representative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Lourdes Coya de la Fuente and the Director of the World Economy Research Center, Ramon Pichs-Madruga represents Cuba in the event.
The Platform was officially created in April of 2012 and since its beginnings Cuba has been part of the international mechanism in addition to another 123 countries.
