Cuba and China to Expand Agreements in BiotechnologyHAVANA, Cuba, Jun 28 (acn) The 8th Meeting of the Cuba-China Biotechnology Joint Working Group will be held on June 29 and 30 at the capital's Melia Habana Hotel, with the purpose of reviewing the development of the agreements of the two previous years.

Dayana Martinez, Communications specialist of the BioCubaFarma business group, told ACN that participating in that meeting will be representatives of the two countries, who will also establish the agreements that will govern the development of that activity in the next period.
On this occasion, the work of the Group will be divided into five sub-commissions: Industry, Heath Registration, Health, Science and Neuro-technology and Agriculture, specified Martinez.
According to the program, the opening will be in charge of Dr. Carlos Gutierrez, president of BioCubaFarma, and Lin Nian Xiu, Vice-president of China's National Commission of Development and Reform.
During the meeting, several joint companies will hold exchanges on the results of cooperation and prospects, and on July 1 st the Chinese delegation will visit the Special Development Zone of Mariel and will attend the ceremony for the 50th anniversary of the National Scientific Research Center, at the Universal Hall of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
