Public health institutions sponsor the Academy of Sciences of Cuba

 HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 14 (ACN) Two national public health institutions obtained the status of sponsors of the Cuban Academy of Sciences (ACC), in an initiative that has gained importance in the country.

One of them is the Rafael Estrada Gonzalez National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and the other one is the Fructuoso Rodriguez Orthopedic Teaching Hospital, informed Dr. Nancy Pavon Fuentes, its secretary.

She indicated that from now on its specialized and scientific personnel, including young people, will serve as sponsors of the academy's activities in their respective jobs.

It also stimulates the creation and delivery of its alternative Headquarters, recently received by the University of Havana, which accepted its rector, Miriam Nicado Garcia, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
