HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 14 (ACN) The development and use of homeopathic treatments in Cuba are an essential therapeutic care system due to their potentialities in people's health and quality of life.
According to Dr. Johann Perdomo Delgado, head of the Department of Natural and Traditional Medicine of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym), given its incidence and proven advantages for the population, homeopathy is one of the eleven modalities within natural medicine regulated and widely used in the country.
He highlighted its use in the specific treatment of bronchial asthma, blepharitis, nephritic colic, stomatitis, arterial hypertension and before the Covid-19 the application of PrevengHo-Vir was started, with the purpose of strengthening the immune system and enabling a better response of the human organism against virus attacks.
Perdomo Delgado also mentioned the production and use of TratHo Cholera and TratHo Dengue, which have been used in other epidemic contingencies such as Leptospirosis, Dengue, Cholera and the homeopathic medicine NoDEGRIP, administered to the Cuban population in 2009 in response to the influenza A (H1N1).
In order to increase the body's response capacity to the stimulation of the immune system, the basic list of natural products includes AliviHO, a homeopathic complex for patients in recovery or convalescence.
The Dr. emphasized that for the commercialization and distribution of products of this type, there is a sustained work in the provinces, where there is at least one homeopathic pharmacy specialized in the elaboration.
As a therapeutic modality of Natural and Traditional Medicine, homeopathy is recognized by the World Health Organization since the approval of the World Assembly Resolution on traditional medicine, adopted in 2009.
