Havana, May 29 (ACN) Cuban Health Minister Jose Angel Portal is promoting the strengthening of cooperation with other nations and international organizations, as he participates at the 77th World Health Assembly.
During a meeting with Uzbekistan health minister, the Cuban official evaluated opportunities for bilateral exchange between the health systems of the two nations. The two sides considered cooperation actions in the health field.
The Cuban health minister also met with the executive director and general secretary of the International Federation of Red Cross Societies and the IFRC. Portal said that Cuba appreciated the support receive during emergency situations like natural disasters and serious epidemics, he wrote on social media.
Addressing the Assembly on Tuesday, the Cuban government official stressed the need that international organizations and governments should address global health problems.
