Guantanamo, May 31 (ACN) The “Cuba Si” German solidarity-with-Cuba group donated medical items to the Agostinho Neto hospital in this easternmost Cuban province.
The donation is part of cooperation actions by Cuba Si group with Cuba over the past 27 years, in which the activists have demanded the lifting of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of the island nation.
The cargo, valued at 18 thousand 255 Euros, is an important contribution to the medical assistance of the people in local healthcare centers.
Mattresses, wheel chairs, dentist chairs, and many other items are included in the cargo, which has been preceded by other donations over the past years by the Cuba Si solidarity group.
Cuban Friendship Institute president Fernando Gonzalez has praised the support of the Cuba Si group in their assistance of the Cuban people to resist the impact of the US blockade.
