Cuban Physician Returns to Havana with no Traces of Ebola

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 6 (acn) Totally reestablished, Dr. Felix Baez, member of the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade, who contracted the Ebola fever virus during his mission in Sierra Leone, West Africa, arrived in Havana.

Baez arrived at the capital's José Marti International Airport, Terminal Three, where he was welcomed by Cuban Public Health Minister Roberto Morales.

The physician returned to his homeland after improving his condition satisfactorily during his stay at the Geneva University Hospital.
At this medical institution he received high level treatment and its specialists ratified that trials carried out confirmed the disappearance of the virus in his body fluids, so he was discharged from hospital.
