Belarus Business Forum Grant Top Prize to Cuban COVID-19 Vaccines

Havana, Dec 9 (ACN) The Cuban COVID-19 vaccines known as Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus were granted the Grand Prize of the Belarus’ International Business Forum “Leader of the Year”, according to the Finlay Vaccine Institute.

The prize was granted for the contribution of the Cuban vaccines to the world struggle against COVID-19, reads the Twitter message, which also thanks and congratulates all those who made it possible to get such an acknowledgment.

Cuban ambassador to Belarus Santiago Perez said that the prize recognizes the social impact of the Cuban vaccines, which got high safety and immunogenicity results in their administration to children and adults, according to PL news agency.

The two Cuban vaccines were approved for its use in Belarus by that country’s health ministry, which made Belarus the first European country to register the Cuban products.

The Leader of the Year International Business Prize is granted by decision of the Council of Experts of Belarus, which includes members of entrepreneurial communities, ministries, public organizations and other relevant agencies.
