HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 9 (ACN) Cuba reported today 32 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2, and an equal number of medical discharges, for a total of 1,102,132 recovered from the pandemic, a figure equivalent to 99.2 % of the contagions.
The daily report of the Ministry of Public Health states that Thursday there were no deaths from the disease, and of the 1,110,840 patients diagnosed with the virus in the country since March 2020, 119 remain hospitalized, 118 of them with stable clinical evolution and one reported in serious condition.
At the close of September 8, a total of 211 patients were hospitalized, 92 suspected and 119 confirmed active.
Of the total number of cases, 23 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with source of infection abroad and 6 with no source of infection specified.
One asymptomatic case was registered during the day, totaling 147,461 cases, representing 13.3% of those confirmed to date, and the 32 diagnosed cases belong to the following age groups: under 20 years (18), 20 to 39 (8), 40 to 59 (3) and over 60 (3).
