Havana, Sept 8 (ACN) Cuban scientists are working to achieve candidate vaccines against Dengue Fever, currently affecting the island nation.
The strategy to get the candidate vaccines inducing cellular immunological response against the disease was considered at the Genetic Engineering and Biotech Center by Eduardo Martinez, president of the Biotech and Pharmaceutical conglomerate BioCubaFarma.
Cuban scientists have been analyzing several projects related to the disease, reads a message on BioCubaFarma official Telegram page. They are designing molecules with antiviral effects against Dengue which block the virus entering the human cells.
